Basic First Aid:

This course will teach you everyday First Aid skills, which are invaluable when accidents happen in the workplace.

Knowing what to do can make the difference to a person’s recovery and you could even save their life.

By the end of this course you will have covered:

Airway management

Clearing blocked airway

Choking

Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation

Management of  blood loss

Management of fractures

Head injuries

Diabetes and epilepsy

Burns and scalds

Dealing with an emergency situation

Unconscious patient and the recovery position

Facilitator: Brian Lynn

Brian Lynn has been a paramedic for 25 years and is a IHCD paramedic instructor First Person on Scene.

Brian has delivered first aid training for approximate 20 years.
 
At present he is employed on the rapid response vehicles.

His primary role is to get to patients quickly to stabilise them and arrange transport to appropriate treatment centres.
