Ards and North Down Borough Council’s Cuan Craic drama group will commence once again on Tuesday 19 September for another season of theatrics and fun.
Come and join us for 10 weeks of free workshops facilitated by leading drama professionals. Absolutely no experience is necessary for these workshops which are a great way to get together, meet new people and learn some new skills.
The workshops which will take place at Maxwell’s Courtyard in Kircubbin every Tuesday from 2pm – 4pm and are designed for people aged 50+ but everyone is welcome.
Speaking about the group, Community Arts Development Officer Amy McKelvey said, “These workshops are predominantly about friendship, support and a lot of laughter, while sharing stories and passions and bringing them to life through the medium of performance. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for something new to do this autumn. No experience or skill required.”
Long-term member Henrietta Price said, “For me this was something completely new as I’ve never done anything like this before, but it is such good fun and great to learn new things, to try something that takes you out of your comfort zone without being uncomfortable. I’ve made new friends, pushed myself further than I could have imagined and feel very proud of what we have achieved.”
