Domestic Violence – ‘Working together to support BME Families’ FREE SEMINAR

Individuals from all groups in society are subjected to Domestic Violence and Abuse, but there may be additional compounding factors for Black and Minority Ethnic families. They may find it difficult to seek help due to actual or perceived discrimination, prejudice and racial discrimination. Increased isolation, family and/or community pressure or collusion to keep the abuse a secret, cultural factors and language difficulties may be significant barriers to seeking help and advice.

This seminar aims to raise awareness of domestic violence and abuse, the relevant cultural issues and provide information on available services and local good practice
