The Networks Involving Communities in Health Improvement (NICHI) Project invites you to apply to the Health and Wellbeing Small Grant Scheme 2013/14.

Up to £1000 is now available to community based groups who wish to involve their community in health and wellbeing activities.

Background to NICHI & Funding Programme

The Networks Involving Communities in Health Improvement (NICHI) Project is an initiative funded by the Public Health Agency (PHA) and delivered by four Community Networks in the Northern area. The project’s aim is to promote and support effective community involvement in health and social wellbeing improvement. The Networks involved in implementing NICHI are:

  • South Antrim Community Network (SACN)
  • North Antrim Community Network (NACN)
  • Cookstown and Western Shores Area Network (CWSAN)
  • Causeway Rural and Urban Network (CRUN)

The funding will focus on the key Public Health Agency priorities for example Early Years/families, Building Sustainable Communities, Making Healthier Choices, Older People, Disability and Ethnic Minorities. Organisations may apply for funding of £200 to £1000.  However it is likely that an average of £500 per group will be allocated.

For more information contact the NICHI Project Officer Ann Marie McStocker on 07540635862.
