Stronger Together Network condemns recent hate crimes in Belfast

The Stronger Together Consortium and its members would like to condemn all hate crime in Northern Ireland and the disturbing spate of hate attacks and graffiti throughout Belfast, targeting ethnic minority communities.

Race hate is an issue that needs a united approach from everyone in all sectors to challenge and rid Northern Ireland of this serious epidemic. These cowardly acts do not only affect the victims, families and communities but also the reputation and economic development of this region. Ethnic minority communities proactively contribute to Northern Ireland and civic life, playing their part towards a shared and all inclusive society.  We applaud the efforts of all grassroots communities, stakeholders, including the PSNI in tackling this unacceptable behaviour in a modern society.

We all should do our part in striving towards building more cohesive, tolerant neighbourhoods and a positive future for Northern Ireland and all its citizens.
