EU Language Competition for Schools – Deadline 31st January 2021

To celebrate the European Day of Languages on 26 September, Léargas holds an annual competition to encourage learners and teachers to engage with languages in different ways.

Competition 2020: #EDLComp20

During the academic year 2020-2021, Léargas Languages are bringing you a new European Day of Languages Competition and exciting prizes! Once again we’re organising this year’s competition in conjunction with eTwinning, the online community for schools in Europe. This partnership celebrates collaboration and exchange between schools in different EU countries, and promotes creativity and innovation in language teaching and learning.

The Competition

Create a language-themed project and register it on the eTwinning Platform, adding the hashtag #EDLComp20 to the title.  Both primary and post-primary school projects are eligible to apply. If you don’t have an eTwinning partner, look for one on the eTwinning Live Partner Forums page.

Visit the EDL Competition page to read all the details and enter the competition.

The Prize!

Each of the four winning schools will win three Chromebooks.

How to enter:

Visit the EDL Competition page to enter.  The deadline for registering your eTwinning project is 31 January 2021. Note that applicants must also complete and submit a short reflection document by 20 June 2021.
