Immigration Practitioners Group are pleased to invite you to our annual conference.

The title of the conference this year is The Silent Crisis: Human Rights in the UK Immigration System.

In the run up to the conference we are hosting an evening of film screenings of 4 short films on refugee stories followed by Q&A with award-winning director Seàn Murray and Professor Colin Harvey, with the BBC’s Declan Harvey as compere. £20 entry encouraged with all proceeds going to Flourish NI.

ALL TOGETHER

The civil war in Syria, ongoing since March 2011, has caused an inevitable refugee problem. Millions of war victims who wanted to take refuge in various parts of Europe took a dangerous journey at the risk of their lives.

The main route to Europe was crossing the sea from Turkey to the Greek Island of Lesvos. There, local and foreign volunteers who embraced these people coming by sea did their best to help ease their pain.

THE REFUGEES CUP

Held in São Paulo in 2014, the Refugee Integration Cup aims to draw the attention of Brazilians to the daily lives of refugees and immigrants, who have survived the greatest humanitarian crisis since World War II.
