The Family Action Fund is a charity that the college affiliates with to enable our students that currently hold Asylum Seeker status and who are studying in Further Education to apply for a small grant of up to £250 to aid them with their studies.
As per criteria set by Family Action, the applicant must meet the below:
Be an Asylum Seeker in receipt of an Application Registration Card (ARC)
AND
Be a parent/carer with legal responsibility for a child/ children aged under 18

You can only apply from within your student account.
You can only apply once in a 12-month period, so if you received this support last year you will only be able to reapply if 12 months have past since your last application.
Once you have completed this form a member of the Student Funding team will submit your application to Family Action, Once Family Action have made a decision, they will notify Student Funding and we will then update you the applicant.
Please note: Due to limited funds this year, the fund can only support a maximum of 30 students who meet all eligible criteria set by Family Action . Applications will be assessed on a first come first served basis and as soon as we have reached the maximum number of applications the link will close for further submissions.
