Early Years – the organisation for young children, is offering you as a family the chance to take part in a fantastic FREE 8-week healthy lifestyle programme – the Family Health Initiative. The programme is open to all families with a child aged 0 to 5 years and starts on Wednesday 11th April in the Tommy Makem Arts & Community Centre in Keady from 11am to 12.30pm.
This programme helps support families with children aged 0-5 to become healthier and get more active together. Each week parents/carers will learn about healthy eating and physical activity, and the impact these have on a child’s life while children will be engaging in creative play and activities. A healthy snack will be provided for the children to try new foods. Each session will finish with adults and children taking part in fun active games, and learn how to be healthy with puppets Ben, Orla and friends.
This programme is funded by the Public Health Agency.
