Free School Meals Payment Update

Update on FSM payments to families who are currently registered.

Education Authority will issue payments to  parents/guardians of children entitled to free school meals;  the first payment will be paid to parents/guardians bank accounts on Friday 15th January 2021 {for those parents/guardians who have not provided EA with bank details, EA will issue cheques}; this payment will cover the period 4th January to 22nd January.  Further payments will be issued to cover the remaining period of school closure, date of payment/s to be confirmed. For children who may present at school without a lunch as per normal procedure schools can provide a lunch on humanitarian grounds.

For any families who are registered in school but have not yet registered for FSM and School Uniform grant they can view our helpful animation here, translated into 12 languages.

They can apply online here (the page is translatable) and if they are still having difficulty, they can make direct contact with Ciaran McPeake.

Email: ciaran.mcpeake@eani.org.uk

Anyone without a bank account will receive a crossed cheque that can be cashed at Belfast Bank of Ireland in the city centre. No Aspen card scheme this time unfortunately.
