My Hospital Journey research
Age NI wants to hear from people aged 65 and over about the care they received in hospital. We are inviting older people to fill in a survey that is open now until 31st July. There will also be an opportunity for some participants to take part in an interview with Age NI’s peer researchers, for anyone who would like to talk in more detail about their hospital stay.
For more information and a link to the online survey visit https://www.ageni.org/news/hospital-journey/ Call Age NI on 028 9024 5729 to have a paper copy of the survey posted or to request support to fill the survey in over the phone.
Age NI is carrying out this RESEARCH (see flyer) on behalf of the NI Frailty Network, which is part of the Public Health Agency. The study is also supported by Queen’s University Belfast’s School of Nursing and has received ethical approval. The aim of the study is to better understand older people’s lived experience of an unplanned hospital stay with a focus on informing best practice and preventing frailty.
Many older people have stories to tell about their experiences in hospital and we want to reach as many as possible so that their voices can be heard.
