Human rights are freedoms and protections belonging to everyone. A bill of rights contains human rights protections for everyone – it is a list of the laws a country agrees to make to protect all the people who live there. It can also contain guiding principles or ideas. To get an understanding of what people who live here think about the creation of a Bill of Rights for Northern Ireland, the Committee needs to hear from lots of different people.
A short (& confidential) survey for ALL ages has been created to gather those thoughts. It can be completed on-line at http://nia1.me/4dm where you can also find further information.
Alternately you can go to www.niassembly.gov.uk and click on the Bill of Rights link under “Latest News.
The survey should be completed on- line by 28th January 2021.
