Rural Community Network – ‘Coffee, Cake and Community Relations’ Sessions (FREE)

RCN will be hosting a number of quick fire dialogue sessions on topics of interest across Northern Ireland over the next 12 months. These discussions will take place in the format of an informal coffee morning, where participants can engage with guest speakers in a relaxed environment.

The first in this series will held at RCN HQ, Cookstown with Linda Irvine, wife of ex PUP leader Brian Ervine and sisters in law of the late David Ervine MLA

Through this “Protestantism and the Hidden Language talk” Linda will reveal her family connections with the Irish language and will take participants on a fascinating journey through the links between the Protestant/Unionist/Loyalist community and the Irish language.

Please feel free to join us on Friday 8th November at our offices from 10am to 12 noon.  Find out how we are surrounded by the Gaelic language in our local place names and by the many Gaelic words we use in our everyday speech.

Places are limited for this event.  If you would like to register contact Teresa at the office on 02886766670 or email Teresa@ruralcommunitynetwork.org.
