TEO has commissioned the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA), part of the Department of Finance, to collect the survey information on our behalf. It is available to complete in 14 languages, with translations provided by the language service provider, thebigword.

Who is the survey for?

The survey is aimed at individuals aged 16 and over, with one the following UK immigration statuses:

  • Asylum seekers (awaiting a decision on asylum application)
  • Asylum seekers (initial application refused, appeal ongoing)
  • Refused asylum seekers with pending further submissions made to the Home Office
  • Those granted refugee status or those who arrived in the UK through refugee family reunion.
  • Those with discretionary leave, humanitarian protection or a grant of other leave/protection to remain.
  • Those who have arrived under one of the UK resettlement schemes (for example, the Syrian Vulnerable Persons  Resettlement Scheme or the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme).
  • Hong Kong British National (Overseas) (BN(O)) visa holders
  • Those from a refugee background who have been granted indefinite leave to remain or have British or Irish citizenship.
