The State of Caring survey runs annually in Northern Ireland and helps to build a picture of unpaid caring experiences in Northern Ireland – highlighting the biggest challenges facing our carer population. We believe the voices and experiences of unpaid carers from ethnically diverse communities in Northern Ireland are not given the attention they deserve by policymakers, and hope this year’s State of Caring survey can provide a platform to begin putting that right.
In the past, the data from the survey has been a valuable tool for a wide range of stakeholders and carer groups. By maximising the number of responses, we can ensure that remains the case this year.

The survey will close on 11 September and we will be releasing a research report in November.
