PEACE IV Communities Programme targeted at Urban and Migrant Communities

A project supported by the European Union’s PEACE IV Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB) in partnership with Mid Ulster District Council.

Between now and September 2019, STEP is undertaking a “PEACE IV Communities Programme targeted at Urban and Migrant Communities” on behalf of the Peace IV Programme Partnership and Mid-Ulster Council.

The aims of the project are to:

  1. Direct support to urban areas/groups to re-engage in Peace and reconciliation, with resource funding for cross-community activities.
  2. Direct support to migrant groups to re-engage in Peace and reconciliation, with resource funding for cross-community activities.

We intend to engage with local groups/areas, and migrant, groups, developing several small partnerships on a cross community and/or cross-cultural basis, supporting participant groups throughout the delivery process.

The project will be broken up into four sections; “Looking at ourselves”, “Looking at others”, “Working together” and “Where to now?”.

Information sessions will be held as detailed below
