The forum is an opportunity for the community sector and wider society to discuss key areas including education, housing, healthcare, human rights, poverty, housing, culture, political institutions and the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement, as part of the Civic Initiative project.

The Civic Initiative will be delivering recommendations from wider society to the Irish and UK governments, as well as the Northern Ireland Assembly, at the end of the 18 month process.

We are inviting community groups and individuals from across Northern Ireland to this event, the Initiative reimburses travel or childcare costs up to £50 per person. We would be grateful if you could share this event with your networks and community.

These forums are for all sections of society to consider current challenges, and collective ways forward. Participants will take part in a three hour facilitated discussion. Everyone is welcome!

The Civic Initiative is funded by the International Fund for Ireland.

The project has 4 key stages;

Regional people’s forums across Northern Ireland and border counties
An open call for submissions and evidence
A NI-wide People’s forum of 100 randomly selected citizens
Reporting and recommendations

You are being invited to stage 1 regionals. Stage 1 sets the priorities for stage 2 and stage 3. This is our final stage 1 community forum.
