The Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants New report: EU care workers at risk after Brexit

Today we are publishing new research which shows EU care workers and other key workers are at risk of losing their rights and status in the UK.

There is already a wealth of evidence that vulnerable and marginalised EU nationals are being put at risk by the way the EU Settlement scheme is designed. Our new research shows the risks are even wider.

Thousands of care workers and other key workers – the very people we are relying on to pull us through the Covid crisis – are in real danger of being left behind by the scheme.

With the deadline less than six months away, the situation couldn’t be more urgent. We are calling on the Home Office to #LiftTheDeadline to ensure no one is thrown into the hostile environment.

Read the report and share it with your MP
