Black Diamond Initiatives NI (BDINI) is an Antrim-based, community-led Community Interest Company working across the Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough. We support racialised minority communities, migrant and newcomer families, women, children and young people, refugees and people seeking asylum.

Our aim is to reduce isolation, strengthen wellbeing, increase participation and create a genuine sense of belonging for people who may experience barriers to accessing services, community life and opportunities.

BDINI delivers culturally responsive wellbeing and personal development programmes, women and family initiatives, children and young people’s activities, community integration events, good relations work, training, volunteering opportunities, information and signposting, and community advocacy.

We also work in partnership with statutory, voluntary and community organisations to improve access to services, strengthen community relationships and ensure that the experiences and voices of racialised minority and migrant communities are represented in local decision-making.

Our activities are delivered through accessible community-based venues, including SPACE Antrim, and through partnership locations across the Borough.

Our approach is captured in our ethos:

Build • Belong • Become Helping people build confidence and connections, experience belonging, and become active participants in their communities.
